Edward "Brock" Brockschmidt, CPA
Partner, Tax
A versatile professional with international and domestic consulting, due-diligence, tax structuring, and compliance. His experience in business management, IT, and banking, gives him a unique background in his profession.
Working primarily with large firms he has gained experience primarily in partnership, corporate and individual compliance work.
Prior to a career in public accounting, he began in the residential construction management with fortune 500 companies. Time in that sector provided the training and in the field experience of vertical integration and supply chain management. Not only was it important to build effective teams and deliver projects but most importantly manage the fiscal success of the projects.
After his time in construction he pursued a career in the financial sector with SunTrust Bank. During his time at SunTrust he completed the industry leading commercial credit program. Only 20 candidates in the nation per year are selected to enter the program and are specifically trained in mergers and acquisitions along with securing credit deals. Upon completion of the program he returned to South Florida to focus on business development and underwriting. Volunteering at the Strategic Small Business Unit at Florida Atlantic University and working with local CPA’s sparked the interest in gaining a career in Public Accounting.
